Introduction
IDMxS is a recently established multidisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence located in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore). The institute is seeking outstanding students to join the Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme (IGP) in digital molecular analytics offered by NTU. Students should have a strong, diverse background in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme (IGP)
The Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme (IGP) is a 4-year PhD programme in IDMxS@NTU that seeks to nurture outstanding students with a passion for interdisciplinary research across areas in Molecular Analytics, Sensor Technology, Data Sciences and Interfacial Chemistry. Research topics aim to interface the biological world with information technology and data sciences, by developing integrated systems that can monitor disease threats, population health (health promotion, preventative healthcare, early diagnosis and intervention), food safety, the environment, and potential security threats.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated researchers at IDMxS, faculty from colleges and institutes across NTU, and other collaborators from universities such as NUS. We welcome highly motivated candidates with a strong, diverse background in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to join our PhD programme.
IGP offers NTU students a timely and challenging PhD education in thematic “Interdisciplinary” areas:

Graduate students in the programme will:
- Gain knowledge and acquire skills in interdisciplinary research.
- Complete a research-based PhD project.
- Be awarded a full tuition fee subsidy for up to 4 years of candidature. Be allocated monthly stipends for up to 4 years of candidature.
- Be granted an allowance* to attend scientific conferences.

Admission is in August or January each year, and the deadlines for application are 31 January and 31 July, respectively. For more information on how to apply, refer to How to Apply.

Joint PhD Programmes
There are also opportunities available via the NTU Joint PhD programmes. These joint progammes provide students with unique educational experiences as they receive training from supervisors with complementary expertise at IDMxS and at a partner university. In addition to the technical training, students will also receive interdisciplinary and intercultural trainings.
