SUMMARY:IDMxS Annual Core Facility Training
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you to the first IDMxS Annual Core Facility Training\, jointly organised by the IDMxS Core Research Staff and our industrial partners.\n\nWhether you are a new or an experienced researcher\, this training is designed to help you explore the resources and expertise available at IDMxS.\nFor new researchers\, this is the perfect opportunity to start your research journey:\n\nExplore our research equipment and facilities\nMeet our technical experts and industrial partners\nLearn about the capabilities and services available\nDiscover what’s possible for your research projects\n\nFor experienced researchers\, the training offers a valuable opportunity to refresh your knowledge\, learn about updated capabilities\, and reconnect with our experts.\n\nTraining Topics\nThis year’s training covers a wide range of core research platforms\, including:\n\nFlow Cytometry\n\nCytoFLEX Nano\nCell Sorter (CytoFLEX SRT)\nAttune CytPix Flow Cytometer\n\n\nChromatography\n\nHPLC\nFPLC (ÄKTA Pure)\n\n\nMicroscopy\n\nWidefield Fluorescence Microscopy\nScanning Confocal Microscopy\nSpinning Disk Confocal Microscopy\nFLIM (Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy)\nTIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence Microscopy)\nSTED (Stimulated Emission Depletion Microscopy)\n\n\nImage Analysis\n\nBasic Image Analysis using ImageJ/Fiji\n\n\n\nTraining Details\n\nDates: 5–7 August and 11 August\n\nSeminar sessions: Free of charge for all participants (detailed timing refer to attachment)\n\nPractical sessions: Participant fees apply.\n\nPractical session attendees will receive training completion certificates for all systems covered during the training. This certification contributes towards the requirements for autonomous instrument use\, meaning participants will only need two additional staff-assisted sessions (instead of the usual three)\, together with the completion of the required safety documentation\, before becoming eligible for independent use.\nWe especially encourage Principal Investigators (PIs) to register their incoming PhD students who will be joining IDMxS in August\, so they can gain a strong foundation before starting their research.\n\nRegistration\nPlease register using the link below:\nhttps://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=SJPOFSq-K0aPwOF2WpsgSudXVaKLcUpBgIpfOzGFTOFUQ1RBTERCM04zNDNGMzFON01TSkVTVVlCSyQlQCN0PWcu&origin=lprLink&route=shorturl\n\nWe look forward to welcoming you to our first annual training and helping you discover the resources\, expertise\, and opportunities available at IDMxS.\n\nIf you have any questions\, please don’t hesitate to contact us at idmxs-comms@ntu.edu.sg
