We are delighted to invite you to the first IDMxS Annual Core Facility Training, jointly organised by the IDMxS Core Research Staff and our industrial partners.
Whether you are a new or an experienced researcher, this training is designed to help you explore the resources and expertise available at IDMxS.
For new researchers, this is the perfect opportunity to start your research journey:
- Explore our research equipment and facilities
- Meet our technical experts and industrial partners
- Learn about the capabilities and services available
- Discover what’s possible for your research projects
For experienced researchers, the training offers a valuable opportunity to refresh your knowledge, learn about updated capabilities, and reconnect with our experts.
Training Topics
This year’s training covers a wide range of core research platforms, including:
- Flow Cytometry
- CytoFLEX Nano
- Cell Sorter (CytoFLEX SRT)
- Attune CytPix Flow Cytometer
- Chromatography
- HPLC
- FPLC (ÄKTA Pure)
- Microscopy
- Widefield Fluorescence Microscopy
- Scanning Confocal Microscopy
- Spinning Disk Confocal Microscopy
- FLIM (Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy)
- TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence Microscopy)

Training Details
- Dates: 5–7 August and 11 August
-
Seminar sessions: Free of charge for all participants (detailed timing refer to attachment)
- Practical sessions: Participant fees apply.
Practical session attendees will receive training completion certificates for all systems covered during the training. This certification contributes towards the requirements for autonomous instrument use, meaning participants will only need two additional staff-assisted sessions (instead of the usual three), together with the completion of the required safety documentation, before becoming eligible for independent use.
We especially encourage Principal Investigators (PIs) to register their incoming PhD students who will be joining IDMxS in August, so they can gain a strong foundation before starting their research.
